Personal Insurance

Homeowners

Home insurance, also commonly called hazard insurance, covers private homes. It is an insurance policy that combines various personal insurance protections, which can include losses occurring to one's home, its contents, loss of its use (additional living expenses), or loss of other personal possessions of the homeowner, as well as liability insurance for accidents that may happen at the home.

Provides coverage for property that is mobile. It does not necessarily have a home base. The property, which is separately insured, receives direct physical loss minus exclusions coverage. The items insured under an inland marine policy are listed on the policy and often insured for a specific amount.

Umbrella

An Umbrella Policy is a policy that provides broad coverage for an insured's liability over and above liability covered by an underlying contract. May also cover losses that are excluded by the underlying policy. Available as personal or commercial insurance.

Flood

Flood insurance is available to property owners including homeowners, condominium owners, business owners and renters in communities that participate in the National Flood Insurance Program. Flood insurance usually has a 30 day wait for the coverage to be effective unless it is required for a loan activity. Plan ahead so you are not without coverage if a disaster happens in your area.
